Maintenance Engineer at PATSCG

Description
JOB DIMENSIONS

1.Responsible for coordinating and planning Network and General trade Sites.
2.Responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance activities.
3.Responsible for tracking maintenance costs using Mini-maint.
4.Responsible for supervising maintenance (installation and commissioning of equipment)
5.Responsible for projects maintenance related HSE issues.
6.Responsible for inspecting all equipment, drafting status reports on all facilities and recommendation.

ACTIVITIES:

1. Plan the routine maintenance of equipment, attend breakdowns, diagnose faults and oversee time-critical repairs for all the Company Tanzania Network and General Trade sites.
2 .Manage maintenance contracts and preparation of projects and maintenance plans and specifications for all equipment.
3. Issuing out Work Orders to service providers and make assessment reports and follow up on all maintenance activities.
4. Produce weekly and monthly assessment reports on Response Time, Mean Time Between Failure and Maintenance Costs per Litre for all Stations and General Trade sites.
5. Ensure equipment compliance with all regulatory body (Weights and Measures Agency) requirements by making sure that all dispensers in Service stations, all bulk meters at General Trade sites are checked and calibrated every six months or when required.
6. Carrying out planned calibration of all bulk storage tanks at Network and General Trade sites.
7. Inspect the conditions of Network and General Trade for possible repair or maintenance works.
8. Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs of all Network and General Trade and provide monthly reports.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT:

- Working in a high risk area due to the nature of product being handled requires a high sense of commitment, consideration and evaluation of any operation to be carried out.
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is required for any job to be carried out safely and effective.
- Working Instructions and procedures work as guides to make the working environment favourable.
- Providing key interfaces with Maintenance, Projects, Procurement and Commercial services.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- To manage resources (installations, equipment and people) to provide safe, Cost Effective and Efficient operations in maintenance.
- Meet Projects and Maintenance schedules while monitoring and controlling maintenance costs.
- Documentation of maintenance records.
- The jobholder’s responsibilities impact directly on Safety, Health & Environment, Operating Costs & Sales turnover. He must ensure that all operations and services are consistently compliant with Company HSEQ Group Policies and Standards
- Reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of field equipment, personnel and operations.
- Arranging specialist procurement of critical equipment, critical parts, fittings or components
- Minimain reports analysis monthly.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

BSc.Mechanical or Equivalent.
Multi-talented personnel who can easily switch and tackle different issues.
Effective communication skills and a team player.
Supply chain skills.
Project Management & Maintenance skills exposure is required
