Afisa Mradi atasaidia kwenye kazi za kila siku za Jiamini katika mji wa Newala. Atarepoti kwa Meneja wa Mradi n mkataba wake utakuwa wa miezi sita. Jiamini ni shirika lisilo la kiserikali (NGO) linalosaidia watoto wenye mazingira magumu ili wapate elimu bora. Tunawasomesha zaidi ya wanafunzi 60 katika mji wa Newala. Kazi hii ni nafasi nzuri kupata uzoefu wa kufanya kazi kwa shirika lisilo la kiserikali la kimataifa.

Majukumu:
- Kuwasaidia wanafunzi wetu wa Newala patapakotokea dharura au tatizo lolote
- Kukusanya matokeo ya wanafunzi na barua zao kwa wafadhili wao, kuwapatia vifaa vya shule, nk.
- Kupanga tuition ya wanafunzi na madarasa ya kuwafundisha watoto wadogo kusoma
- Kuwafundisha English Course kwa waliomaliza Darasa la Saba
- Kutunza ofisi yetu na mkataba wetu
- Kufanya kazi pamoja na shule mbalimbali katika uhamisho ya wanafunzi na shughuli zingine
- Kuandika repoti ya pesa (Financial Report) kuhusu matumizi ya Jiamini
- Kazi mbalimbali zingine unazoelekezwa na Meneja

Ujuzi:
- Uwe na Diploma au Degree in Social Work, Education, Community Development, nk.
- Uwe umemaliza chuo ndani ya miaka mitatu zilizopita
- Uwe umewahi kufundisha wanafunzi wa msingi au sekondari darasani (tuition, nk)
- Uwe unajua jinsi ya kutumia kompyuta: Excel, Word, na Internet
- Uwe una uzoefu kupanga bajeti ya miradi midogo midogo

The East African Kiswahili Commission (EAKC) is an institution of the East African Community (EAC) responsible for the coordination and promotion of the development and use of Kiswahili in the region and beyond. The Commission is charged with the responsibility of ensuring the development of Kiswahili as a lingua franca for regional and international interaction for political, economic, social, cultural, educational, scientific and technical development. The Commission fulfills its mandate through research, teaching, learning and development of Kiswahili through policy formulation, knowledge generation and curriculum review and standardization of terminologies. In order to effectively fulfill that mandate and meet its objectives and planned activities, the Commission seeks applications from qualified persons for the following position:

Job reports to: Executive Secretary

Job Purpose:
Assist and support the Executive Secretary in executing the mandate of the Commission, by providing overall leadership in Projects and Programmatic operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop projects and programs that will ensure the promotion and use of Kiswahili in the East African Community and beyond;
Initiate projects and programmes relevant to the development and use of Kiswahili in the region and beyond;
Assist the Executive Secretary in providing an oversight role in coordinating Kiswahili projects and programs;
Promote projects and programmes geared towards the development and use of Kiswahili;
Monitor the implementation of projects and programs of the Commission;
Evaluate projects and programmes of the Commission;
Liaise with stakeholders in the promotion, development and use of Kiswahili;
Prepare initiatives for resource mobilization for Kiswahili projects and programmes;
Write timely, lucid and accurate Project and Programme reports for the Commission and stakeholders;
Carry out any other lawful functions that may be assigned by the Executive Secretary.

Qualifications and Experience:

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least a Masters Degree in Kiswahili Studies (Linguistics; Literature or Education);
A Ph.D in Kiswahili Studies is an added advantage;
Multi-disciplinary background is necessary;
Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

At least ten (10) years of which five (5) should be at the level of management and leadership in an academic or research institution;
Competence in Kiswahili research and publications; Developed successful Kiswahili projects and programs; Initiated projects and programmes relevant to the development and use of Kiswahili;
Coordinated Kiswahili projects and programs;
Participated in the promotion of Kiswahili projects and programmes;
Participated in monitoring and implementation of Kiswahili projects and programmes;
Involved in the evaluation of Kiswahili projects and programmes;
Dealt with stakeholders in the promotion, development and use of Kiswahili;
Evidence of ability to mobilize and manage resources;
Establishment of linkages and partnerships;
Capacity to write timely, clear and accurate Project and Programme reports.

Eligibility:
Candidates are invited from all EAC Partner States except Kenya.

Applicants should not be more than 55 years as retirement age at the EAC is 60 years.

Terms and Conditions of Service:
The successful candidate will serve on contract for a period of three (3) years renewable once upon satisfactory performance for a final term of 3 years.

a) Qualifications

Duties and responsibilities
To collect the Navigation Bag containing aircraft Library from Operations

To supervise refueling of aircraft and enter details in their relevant documents.
To maintain continuous watch on the available communication frequencies with the appropriate Air Traffic Control.
To maintain cabin and cockpit temperatures at comfortable levels during flight.
To complete Voyage Report Forms, Technical Log entries, computation of take off, approach and landing speeds and to ensure that the Pilot-in-command signs them at the end of flights.
To command the aircraft on instructions from the Pilot-in-command or on incapacitation of Pilot-in-command and assume responsibility for the safety of the aircraft.
To verify that the control locks, engine locks and any other locks are properly fitted on the aircraft at night stations where night stops are made .

Job Responsibilities:
  • Record the cash of all programs in the daily collection registers and preserve in the file by preparing necessary voucher with sign
  • To prepare list of expected collection and disbursement every morning by discussing with the branch manager and local head of related programs and then withdraw necessary cash from bank
  • Make sure there is no excess cash in hand or bank and dispatch excess funds to the Country Office
  • To reimburse bills after verifying the authentication of the transaction with the approval of the supervisors
  • Recording all daily loan disbursement and collections
  • Update and preserve the project wise cash book, general ledger and other ledgers and file cash certificate as per balance of ledger
  • To prepare monthly accounts with supporting documents
  • To dispatch the consolidated cash requisition of the branch office to the regional officer/accountant
  • To collect and file bank statement and make reconciliation
  • Pay salary to all employees through bank account
  • Update employees information and leave register and documentation
  • To update project wise asset register, depreciation register and other registers to ensure identification of the fixed assets

Required Qualification:
  • Graduate/Diploma in Accounting or other related Business Subjects with Minimum one year
experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently with strong planning and organizing
skills.
  • Computer skills are necessary
  • Action and Results oriented with good time management and analytical skill
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Local language
